At one point in my life I intended to pursue a career in music recording. I also played the piano quite a bit, so I recorded a number of CDs, which were titled “Piano Stuffs” largely out of a fear that a more serious-sounding title would give the wrong impression and set the listener up for disappointment. These are some of my favorite recordings from that period of time.
Compiled December 2007
In late 2007 I finished compiling a list of concerns regarding facilities, curriculum structure, and equipment that I had been researching for the previous seven months. A group of undergraduate students met with the faculty and administration regarding these concerns. The working document I created as a framework for our meetings is presented here in its original form as a reference for problems perceived at that time, as well as an example for structuring similar future documents. I recorded this during my first semester at Penn State. It’s not entirely polished, and some tracks are much better than others. A few are split into parts because of their length. Duet and Quartet are probably the best of the lot.
